With their record-breaking debut album, Up All Night, topping the charts, One Direction plan to hit the road for their first-ever headlining tour in the States.

The U.K. boy band will kick off the trek May 24 in Fairfax, Virginia, as part of a North American tour set to wrap up on July 1 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with stops along the way in cities like Chicago, New York, Atlanta and Las Vegas. News of the guys' tour comes as Up All Night made One Direction the first British group to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 on Wednesday (March 21).

U.S. hysteria for the guys has been over-the-top, with hard-core fans wildly greeting them at stops all over the country. But one of the 1D fellas, Niall Horan, explained to MTV News that the band's truly appreciative of all the fan love.

"No way were we expecting it to do anything like that," he said of enthusiasm for the album in the States. "We haven't spent that much time out here and obviously not a lot of people know us, but the power of our fans, they never seem to stop amazing us. They're absolutely brilliant and they've bought the album in great numbers."

This won't be the guys' first tour in America, though. Earlier this year One Direction toured with Big Time Rush, and things got pretty crazy, according to Horan. "Since we've been here, we did Radio City [Music Hall in New York] with Big Time Rush, and when we were leaving the venue, there was a lot of people waiting outside for us and it was like the movies," he recalled. "We were trying to drive away. [Fans] were running through traffic. It was literally like something you'd see in a movie."

It doesn't seem the hysteria is going to die down anytime soon. Before 1D even hit the road in May, they'll perform at the Kids' Choice Awards on March 31, and then they'll take the "Saturday Night Live" stage a week later, on April 7. And all this buzz around the five Brits has fans wondering if they might be getting their own show on Nickelodeon. But Horan said that's not the case, for now at least.

"We've just been doing stuff with Nickelodeon. They've been brilliant to us; they've been really good to us. [But] there's no sign of a TV show," he said. "We haven't heard anything. We're obviously doing the Kids' Choice and stuff, but there's no deal been done or anything [for a show]. They're just kind of helping us out, I suppose."

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) ? Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum said Wednesday that Puerto Rico should only gain statehood if the territory makes English its main language.

In an interview with a San Juan newspaper, El Vocero, Santorum said English would have to be the "main language" if Puerto Rico were to become a state.

"As in any other state, you have to comply with this and any federal law. And that is that English has to be the main language," Santorum told the paper. "There are other states with more than one language as is the case in Hawaii, but to be a state in the United States, English has to be the main language."

There is no federal law designating English as the country's official language, although some states and local governments have adopted such "English only" laws.

Puerto Rico is a U.S. commonwealth. Its residents are U.S. citizens but can only vote for president in the primaries, nor do they have a voting representative in Congress. Puerto Ricans will hold a referendum Nov. 6 on the island's political status. Statehood, independence and no change in status are the three options. Regardless of the outcome, Congress must approve any change in status.

A key sticking point is Puerto Rico's official language, which is Spanish. Most Puerto Ricans feel strongly about maintaining their culture and language. There is concern that as a condition of statehood or to assert its authority over the island, Congress "could require Puerto Rico to adopt English as the only official language of the island," according to a report issued last year by the President's Task Force on Puerto Rico's Status. The task force, however, recommended that "the president and Congress "ensure that Puerto Rico controls its own cultural and linguistic identity."

Santorum was in San Juan campaigning for Sunday's GOP presidential primary. He met with Gov. Luis Fortuno, who is backing Santorum rival Mitt Romney and held town hall events with veterans and local business leaders.

Fortuno backs Romney in large part because the former Massachusetts governor has expressed support for Puerto Rico becoming a state. Santorum has expressed reservations, telling reporters Wednesday that a simple majority in the fall referendum wouldn't be a convincing statement that islanders wanted Puerto Rico become the 51st state.

WASHINGTON (AP) ? Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney padded his lead in the race for delegates Tuesday by winning Republican presidential contests in six states.

Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum added delegates by winning contests three states, while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich won the primary in Georgia, the state he used to represent in Congress.

Romney won at least 212 Super Tuesday delegates and Santorum won at least 84. Gingrich won at least 72 delegates and Texas Rep. Ron Paul got at least 22.

So far, Romney is winning 54 percent of the Super Tuesday delegates; Santorum is winning 22 percent.

A total of 419 delegates were up for grabs in 10 states Tuesday. A handful were left be allocated.

In the overall race for convention delegates, Romney leads with 415, including endorsements from members of the Republican National Committee who automatically attend the convention and can support any candidate they choose. Santorum has 176 delegates, Gingrich has 105 and Paul has 47.

Later that week, Dayspring did not attend a Cantor fundraiser in Richmond, Va., an event that Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) headlined.

On Friday, Dayspring submitted his resignation.

Dayspring will now work for the Young Guns Action Fund super PAC, started by former Cantor aide John Murray.

Kodak said Friday it has agreed to sell its online photo services business to Internet-based publishing service Shutterfly for $23.8 million as the bankrupt company continues to trim its businesses in a massive restructuring.

The move is part of Kodak?s plan to focus its operations. The photography innovator filed for bankruptcy protection in January and announced that it would no longer be making cameras and instead would narrow its focus to its core printer businesses.

Kodak is busy moving away from companies that aren?t part of its core mission, said Mark Kaufman, an investment consultant at MLK Investment Management.

Kaufman notes that commercial printing technology makes up around 75 percent of Kodak?s business now. It?s an area from which the company could potentially capture a lot of revenue, he added. One large commercial printer can generate between $1 million and $5 million a year as Kodak provides ink, software and maintenance services for it, he added.

By getting out of the camera business and selling the online photo services business Kodak will be shedding up to $900 million in revenue, but that still leaves Kodak with a company that generates $5 billion in revenue, coming in part from its commercial printing business, he added.

?That?s still quite a substantial company,? Kaufman said.

Kodak said it has entered into an agreement with Shutterfly for the proposed sale of certain assets of its Kodak Gallery on-line photo services business.

Shutterfly will take over Kodak Gallery customer accounts and images in the United States and Canada, and it will allow customers to opt out of the transition if they do not want their photos to be transferred.

Kodak said the deal with Shutterfly followed a "stalking horse" bid -- a starting bid or minimally accepted offer that other bidders must surpass in a court-supervised auction -- from the web-based personal publishing service.

Kodak Gallery -- which enables users to store and share their own images and create custom printed photobooks, cards and albums -- has more than 75 million users.

Kodak has also said it expected to fetch $1 billion to $2 billion from the sale of about 1,100 digital patents, which is due to get under way by June 30.

A source familiar with the patent sale said the process was moving forward, but added that the completion was not expected anytime soon.

CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) ? The five bedroom house on Maine Avenue in Cherry Hill was once the life of luxury.

?There was a Jacuzzi,? said neighbor Stephanie Chaplin. ?They did have a pool, but everything is destroyed now.?

But now the home in an upper middle class neighborhood is in foreclosure, up for a sheriff?s sale in March, and it?s one of many on a growing list. Nationally, one in four homes sold is in foreclosure.

Chaplin worries the home may bring down her property value if she one day tries to sell.

?I hope not,? Chaplin said. ?I?m not selling that house yet, but I wonder if I would want to sell that house, I?ll probably have a problem.?

A few years ago, banks preferred foreclosing on homes. But now, real estate lawyers say they are switching to short sales, where they work with the homeowner to sell the house.

?It shows on the credit report that you worked with the lender to mitigate the lender?s losses and you tried to work with them rather than just abandoned them and walked away,? says real estate lawyer Dan Kelley.

Kelley says he does 50 short sales a year now, compared to only one or two short sales five years ago. According to RealtyTrac, short sales jumped 15% in the last quarter of 2011. And the average short sale sold for $185,000, while the average foreclosure sale sole for $150,000.

As long as the housing market struggles to recover, experts predict a rise in short sales and a healthy number of foreclosures in an unhealthy economy.
